Zirakpur – New Realty Hot spot near Chandigarh

Set on the foothills of Shivalik, Zirakpur is a satellite town located towards the East of Chandigarh.Located about 12 km from Chandigarh, it is surrounded by Chandigarh towards North , Panchkula towards East, Dera Bassi towards South and S.A.S Nagar, Mohali towards West . Zirakpur is witnessing realty growth in the backdrop of swift connectivity and infrastructure initiatives.

Before the year 2000, the Zirakpur had a population of less than twenty thousand. Soon a small village Baltana, which is a part of Zirakpur now, started having some population growth being near to Panchkula and Chandigarh. From 2004 onward the city’s population started to increase rapidly, with booming property prices and the arrival of a large number of residential projects in the suburbs. The Zirakpur Municipal Council has population of 95,553 of which 50,497 are males while 45,056 are females as per report released by Census India 2011. At south eastward link towards Panchkula & Zirakpur was considered to become a Commercial Center to capture more residential-oriented development at Panchkula.  One of the two technological knowledge business park corridors is also to be planned at Banur-Zirakpur Corridor.

Road Connectivity

The GMR is well connected with other parts of India by means of the road. The connecting road network to the region consists of national highways, state highways, and major district roads. Four national highway pass through the region are namely NH1, NH21, NH22 & NH95. NH1 connects the region with Ambala and New Delhi, NH21 connects to Ropar, NH 22 connects to Shimla, Himachal & NH95 to Ludhiana, Punjab. Zirakpur is connected with NH21, NH22, NH95 & NH64 with the other part of the region.

The nearest airport is 300 Acre International Mohali Airport from the town has direct domestic & International flights.
